Summer Recreation Programs
CITY SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM
In 1990, The City of Templeton began sponsoring a Summer Recreation Program for youth in the community. The program continues today and offers numerous activities targeted at children between the ages of 4 and 12. The program is operated with the assistance of City staff and several local residents who volunteer their time to help kids learn and enjoy various outdoor activities. Some of the activities that have been offered in the past include:
- Fish Iowa
- Golf Clinic
- Volleyball Clinic
- Basketball Clinic
- Chalk it Up
- Clues to Go
- Scavenger Hunt
- Arts-in-the-Park
- Summer Olympics
- Swim Lessons ((in cooperation with the Manning Recreation Center)

Summer Recreation Program Information
SUMMER LITTLE LEAGUE T-BALL, SOFTBALL, & BASEBALL
The Templeton Community has sponsored little league t-ball, softball, and baseball since the early 1980's. Templeton is part of the West Central League that includes surrounding communities.
